Whether starting fresh with a new garden or working within an established garden, we enjoy the creative process of stewarding a garden into its future. Unlike many traditional landscaping companies, we don’t think of garden care as ‘maintenance’. We see gardening as a chance to nurture healthy, ever-evolving plant communities.

As the conditions of a garden inevitably change over the years (plants mature, nearby trees provide more shade, plants seed around, etc), gardening remains an opportunity for creative choices. Sometimes these garden changes require editing, dividing, or moving specific plants to areas that may better suit them. Sometimes these changes require replacing plants with others that may be more appropriate for the situation. Yes, sometimes it is about pulling weeds, but mostly it is a series of creative decisions working towards the future health and beauty of our client’s garden spaces.
